Selene is cut from a lustrous, satin-feel fabric with a hint of powermesh, so it drapes and holds at the same time. The bodice is properly boned — it takes your waist in and stays where you put it all evening. The sweetheart neckline has underwired cups, so the shape is built into the dress. The straps adjust on small metal sliders, which means you set the fit rather than the other way around.
Below the waist, a full structured satin skirt falling to mid-calf, with a soft tulle underskirt just showing beneath the hem. Enough weight to hold its shape when you sit down, enough movement to be worth walking in.
A fine scalloped lace trim runs along the top edge of the back bodice. Fully lined. Back zip. And it has pockets.
